Oh gosh, this is a seriously impressive ‘19 cabernet. Peterkin has used a small amount of petit verdot presumably to get some acid support. The palate is such a complex weave of blackcurrant, gamey meats and rich syrupy chocolate. Fine tannins with a chalky seashell minerality hold it to its line as it extends to its very long finish. Seamless with great power and supreme poise.

    2018 VR Cabernet Sauvignon

"Medium ruby red. Intense nose of cassis and tobacco leaf. Medium in body but with intense black fruit and layers of tobacco leaf and black olive savoury tones. Tannins are powerful with a fine sandy texture, and they carry the wine incredibly long and lingering. A truly world class Cabernet Sauvignon."

    2018 VR Cabernet Sauvignon

" The best Pierro Cabernet yet. everything is in its place. Typically, elegant medium-bodied wine with leafy scented aromas displaying red fruits and violets. But I really love the palate structure. It's linear and refined with a perfect combination of fine-grained oak and fine silky tannins working in harmony. Plenty of potential here.

Finally a properexample of using the word 'Reserve' on a wine label. Soft and satiny red wine with plenty of detail, layers to flavour, opulence, softness and spread. Dark chocolate-y orientated, in scents and flavours, with requisite cassis, bay leaf and sea spray characters in the mix. Also clove-cedar woody spices. It's a warmer, plush and dark fruited expression, very relaxed, open weave, fine tannin threaded through everything and fans out through the finish. Fine Wine.
